North Carolina Urological Associates came into existence in September 1997 with the merger of Dr. Jerome P. Parnell and Dr. H. Kenneth Leatherman of Capital Urology and Dr. Douglas C. Leet and Dr. Steven J. Stafford of Central Carolina Urology. Both of the original practices were on the cutting edge of new Urological innovation while adhering to traditional values of service and compassion. The creation of North Carolina Urological Associates only strengthened this commitment to excellence.

Dr. Marc D. Benevides joined the practice in July 2001 and Dr. Stephen F. Shaban in December 2004. Both Dr. Benevides and Dr. Shaban have made major and positive contributions since joining North Carolina Urological Associates.

North Carolina Urological Associates remains committed to our founding principals and currently has offices in Raleigh and Cary. We look forward to continuing and expanding our service-oriented practice to better serve the residents of Wake and surrounding counties.
